DESCRIPTION:Campfire Meeting: First Responders • Veterans • Healthcare Professionals\n\n\n\n*** This is for First responders\, Veterans\, Active Duty Military\, and Healthcare professionals only*** \n\n\n\nOver the past couple of months\, while we’ve been out and about\, we’ve had many people ask for a space where first responders\, veterans\, and healthcare professionals can come together\, a place to relax\, meet others\, socialize\, and talk about whatever’s on your mind. \n\n\n\nThis is an informal and supportive group\, no pressure\, no agenda\, just good company\, conversation\, and community. DESCRIPTION:According to the CDC’s data on suicide risk within occupational groups\, the construction and extraction industries were found to have the highest rate of suicide in the United States.  The goal of our Construction Hike for Hope initiative is to improve the mental health of construction workers through effective suicide prevention education\, intervention and postvention strategies to encourage\, equip and empower mental health champions in the workforce.  Visit afsp.org/construction for more information.
